National Ocean Sciences Bowl
Are you a budding marine biologist or a teacher who has budding marine biologists in your class? Then you do not want to miss this opportunity on
February 26, 2011. Youngstown State will host the Penguin Bowl, the regional competition of the National Ocean Sciences Bowl. This is a round-robin, academic tournament consisting of formal and written questions about oceans. All you need to do is form a team of students with a coach. Most teams represent their high school with their teacher as a coach. All students will receive a prize for participating and the winning team will receive an all-expense paid trip to Galveston, Texas (April 29-May 1, 2011) to compete in the national championship. Check out the website www.nosb.org and start studying about the oceans. E-mail MMarks@pittsburghzoo.org with questions.
Check out the website of the National Ocean Sciences Bowl for information on how to form a team or get involved.
