Become a Member of the area’s most visited cultural attraction. A Zoo Membership gives you unlimited visits and benefits all year and is your passport to fun. Your membership also supports the Zoo in its many conservation and education initiatives.
You can buy a membership for yourself or renew your membership by clicking the orange buttons below. Gift certificates can be purchased by using the gift membership tab. If you are renewing a membership, please be sure to sign in before completing your transaction.
Q: I want to buy a gift Membership, do you have gift certificates?
A: Yes, gift certificates are available for Memberships. You can purchase a Membership gift certificate in any of the following ways:
• at the Zoo's front gates
• via the Membership office by calling 412-365-2534
Q: May I bring a guest if the second adult listed on the card cannot attend?
A: All Memberships are non-transferable. Only the names listed on the card are admitted. Photo ID is required.
Q: Can I buy or renew Memberships online?
A: Yes, you can do so here. Our systems will generate your Membership ID number and the confirmation number you receive at the end of your transaction is then your temporary card. You must present a copy of the confirmation to the cashier at the Zoo's main entrance for admittance.
Q: Can I purchase a Membership on the day of my visit?
A: Yes, Memberships can be purchased at the front entrance and will include your admission for that day. A temporary card will be issued at that time.
Q: Is my Membership fee tax-deductible?
A: Yes, up to $75.
Q: What happens if I lose my card?
A: You can show your photo ID at the gate for admittance or apply for a duplicate card at the gate or by phone. There is a $5 processing fee for duplicate cards.
Q: Is my Membership valid for one calendar year or one year from the date of purchase?
A: Memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Gift certificates are valid for one year from the date of redemption.
Q: When I renew my membership, how do you determine the new expiration date?
A: Memberships automatically renew from the current expiration date. If your Membership has lapsed, the new expiration date will be one year from the new purchase date.
Q: When will I receive my Membership card?
A: Please allow two weeks for delivery. If you have not received your card after two weeks after purchasing the membership, please contact the Membership office 412-365-2534.
Q: How do I add a guest?
A: The Family Plus level comes with 10 guest admission passes. If you only have the Family Membership, you can upgrade for $35 and receive the guest admission passes. Please note that guest admission passes are only valid at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium.
Q: Do you have a single parent Membership?
A: No, Memberships cover households. If only one adult resides in a household, only one is covered.
Q: Can I purchase a Membership for my daycare?
A: No, Memberships cover households. Group rates are available for 15 or more people when arrangements are made at least two weeks in advance. Please visit the Group Sales pages of our website for more information.
Q: Can my childcare provider use my Membership card to bring my child(ren)?
A: Yes, your childcare provider must have your membership card when they arrive with your child(red). Your child(ren) will receive free admission with your Membership card, and the childcare provider can use a guest admission (if applicable) or pay regular admission.
Q:Do we get a discount in the gift shop?
A: Yes, you will recieve a 10% discount on gift shop purchases (calendars, batteries, film, sale and edible items, media, tram rides, wagons, jeeps, zookeys, and medicine are all excluded).
