Wheelchairs, single and double strollers, and electric scooters can be rented at Safari Wheels from April through October. From November through March, they can be rented at the Safari Gift Shop.
Wheelchairs: $5 per day
Single stroller: $9 per day
Double stroller: $12 per day
Electric scooters: $30 per day
It is strongly recommended to make an advanced reservation for wheelchairs and electric scooters. Quantities are limited. Without a reservation, rentals are on a first-come, first-serve basis and there is no guarantee one will be available. To make a reservation, please call 412-365-6020.
The Zoo’s food service is operated and managed by Service Systems Associates (SSA), and offers a diverse array of dining options. All restaurants offer Pepsi products including Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Sierra Mist, and Orange Slice, along with iced tea, lemonade, milk, juice, and bottled water. All restaurants also participate in the Twenty-Five to Survive program and accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
The African-themed Jambo Grill is located at the mid-point of the Zoo, making it a great place to take a break during your safari. Jambo Grill offers a fresh, made-to-order menu. Located next door is Swahili Pizza, which offers several pizza variations, alongside Safari Soft Serve Restaurant.
