Walk-Thru Timed Tickets

When you buy walk-thru tickets to the Asian Lantern Festival, you will select both a day and time you would like to visit. Tickets for the Asian Lantern Festival have timed entry, which helps ensure all guests have a safe and pleasant experience. Entry times are available every 30 minutes. Our first 6:30 p.m. time slot for each evening is the most popular; if an entry time is listed as Sold Out on the ticketing page, please try the next available time slot that evening (7 p.m. or later), or select another day.

Time on tickets indicates the half-hour range you will enter the Zoo, but does not require a specific exit time. Once admitted to the Zoo at the listed time for the event, you may stay in the park as long as preferred, or until park close at 10:30 p.m.

Additional Ticket Information

Children under 2 years old do not require tickets.

Tickets must be used on the selected evening, and are not transferrable. The event will take place rain or shine. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for drive-thru edition.

Animals will not be visible in their public habitat during evening hours. To see all Zoo animals, you may also like to plan a daytime visit.

Differences between Walk-Thru and Drive-Thru

Walk-Thru (click for tickets): Guests walk through the Zoo to experience lanterns. All guests over the age of 2 must purchase tickets. Most indoor buildings are closed, though guests have access to restrooms and Water’s Edge. Food, drinks, and gifts are available for purchase at kiosks. Regional cultural performers rotate nightly. Visit length is as long as preferred.

Drive-Thru (click for info): Guests drive their vehicles through the Zoo to experience lanterns. Guests pay one flat vehicle rate for all attendees in the vehicle. Guests do not exit their vehicles and all buildings and restrooms are closed. Food is available at car-side stops. Regional cultural performers are not present at the drive-thru edition. Visit length is approximately 45 minutes.

The Asian Lantern Festival features exciting and educational entertainment from local performers, showcasing cultural elements from Asian Americans and several of the countries of East and Southeast Asia. Demonstrations and performances included with admission. Dates subject to change.
