Zoo U. | Wild Careers

For students in grades 9-12

There are many paths that a career with animals can take! Through this program, students will meet with zoo and wildlife professionals and will learn more about fields of study such as zoology, animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, marine biology, field research, and more. It’s a great opportunity for students to learn about a variety of animal-related career options. Students will be able to engage in discussion with professionals from the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium and beyond and gain insider knowledge on what it takes to work with Pittsburgh’s wildest residents. The Wild Careers program consists of four, 2.5-hour sessions, and will also include animal encounters and visits to various areas of the zoo.

The Zoo U. program allows high school students to explore new areas of science and conservation in a fun and engaging way. A single Zoo U. registration includes four sessions in the spring.
