ZooBrew in Previous Years

The earliest evidence of beer brewing dates back to 13,000 years ago in the Ancient Near East. Dinosaurs last walked the Earth 65 million years ago. For one night only – Saturday, August 22 – a rip in the time-space continuum will allow these worlds to collide as the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium presents Zoo Brew: Prehistoric.

This age 21+ event is on tap from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. and will feature samples of beer, cider, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages positioned throughout the Zoo. Pretty up prehistorically and wander among animals previously separated by eons: our Zoo residents and the animatronic dinosaurs from our limited-time Dinosaurs!

This year’s event features even more breweries and purveyors of spirits stationed throughout our Jurassic park. Your ticket entitles you to after-hours Zoo admission; beer, cider, spirits, and non-alcoholic samples; complimentary sampling glass; ambassador animal visits; giant yard games and beer pong; and live music and entertainment. Food trucks will also be on site with jaw-some selections available for purchase.

Member and designated driver discounts are available. Stomp on over to the Zoo for a memorable summer evening.

Zoo member pre-sale begins on Friday, July 3. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 9 a.m. on July 6, 2026.
