Drive through the Zoo and collect sweet treats at each candy stop, visit the Trick-Or-Treat Trail sponsored by Allegheny Health Network for even more goodies, wave to some of your favorite characters, and more!

The Zoo will close to general admission on October 17, 18, 24, 25 for this fundraiser. All vehicles must have a ZooBoo Drive-Thru ticket in order to enter.

The timed ticket you select is your entry time. While there is no limit to the number of guests per car, we recommend four guests per vehicle for the best experience.

Each vehicle will receive:
• Admission for one (1) vehicle
• Access to the guided audio tour (available here)
• Candy and non-candy treats intended for four (4) children (contactless distribution)

Excluding The Islands, Jungle Odyssey, PPG Aquarium, Water’s Edge, and Kids Kingdom. In addition, all buildings will be closed.

Please arrive at the main parking lot at specified time on your ticket. You will not be permitted to enter the Zoo before or after your selected time.

Make sure to bring a candy bag to collect your treats! All candy distribution will be contactless. At each treat stop, you will roll down your window, open your bag, and a treat will be placed directly in your bag.

Safety is top priority at this event. All guests will be required to follow the below safety protocols and guidelines:
• Guests are prohibited from exiting their vehicle at any time.
• All tailgates, doors/van doors and hatchbacks must remain closed at all times.
• Keep noise to a minimum – no loud music and no honking.
• Follow the guided tour only; speed limit is 2 mph.
• Be considerate of other guests and limit your time at animal habitats.
• Keep the Zoo clean by carrying out trash after your visit.
• Restrooms will NOT be available.
• Motorcycles, motorbikes, scooters, bicycles, RVs, trailers, buses, and limousines are NOT permitted.

Are face masks required?
Since all passengers are required to remain in their vehicles, masks will not be required for guests who attend this event; however, since guests will be interacting with staff at certain points during the event, it is encouraged that guests wear a mask at those times.

Does each vehicle need a ticket?
Yes. One ticket is required for each vehicle. Tickets must be purchased online in advance. There will be no gate sales for this event.

Do I need to buy tickets online or can the tickets be purchased on site?
All tickets must be purchased online in advance. Tickets must be shown before entering the event. Please make sure your ticket is available to show staff prior to entering. Printed tickets are preferred at this time.

What size vehicle can I drive through the safari?
Vehicle size limited to 20 feet in length and 6 ½ feet width, for example a Ford F250 truck. It is recommended for guests to drive their smallest vehicle due to the small size of the pathway that you will be driving on.

Can I drive through in a convertible with the top down or motorcycle?
Convertibles are permitted, motorcycles are not.

Can I ride in the back of a truck?
No, all guests must remain inside a vehicle.

Where does the event begin?
All vehicles will arrive to the Zoo’s main parking lot at 7370 Baker Street.

How long is the event?
While times may vary, the estimated time to travel through the ZooBoo Drive-Thru is 60 minutes. However, there may be a longer wait time to enter this special fundraising event due to traffic.

Are pets allowed?
No, pets are not allowed. Please see our service animals policy.

Will I be allowed to exit my vehicle during this event?
No, all guests must remain in their vehicle for the duration of the event.

Will there be restrooms available?
No. Restrooms will be unavailable on Zoo grounds for this event.

What animals/parts of the Zoo will I be able to see or not see?
Animals may be on or off exhibit depending on the time of day, animal needs, staffing, etc. The event will not include The Islands, Jungle Odyssey, PPG Aquarium, Water’s Edge, or Kids Kingdom. In addition, all buildings will remain closed. Please keep in mind that some exhibits will not be in clear sight from your vehicle. We recommend bringing binoculars for best viewing.

How do I listen to the guided audio tour from my car?
The guided audio tour can be downloaded in advance. Link to be posted to this webpage prior to the event.

Can I bring in my own food and drinks?
Yes, outside food and drinks (excluding alcohol) are permitted.

Once I exit the Zoo, can I go through again on the same day?
No, unless another available ticket is purchased.

Are refunds or rain checks available for inclement weather?
No, this is a rain or shine fundraising event. No rain checks are available.

Can I smoke in my car?
No, the Zoo is a tobacco-free campus.
