DRIVE-THRU Timed Tickets

(for walk-thru information & tickets, click here)

One timed Asian Lantern Festival Drive-Thru event ticket is required for each vehicle. When you buy tickets to the Asian Lantern Festival Drive-Thru, you will select both a day and time you would like to visit. Tickets have arrival times to help with the flow of traffic. Please plan to arrive at the main parking lot on the specified day and time on your ticket. You will not be permitted to enter the Zoo before or after your selected day and time.

While times may vary due to traffic, the estimated time to travel through the Asian Lantern Festival is 45-60 minutes.

Tickets must be used on the selected evening, and are not transferrable. This is an all-weather, rain or shine event. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for walk-thru edition.

Vehicles

You will drive your own vehicle through the Zoo. Vehicle size limited to 20 feet in length, 6 ½ feet in width, and 8 feet high. An estimate for this size is to fit within one standard parking spot, or about the size of a Ford F250 truck. It is recommended for guests to drive their smallest vehicle due to the limited size of the pathways.

Guests are prohibited from exiting their vehicle at any time. All tailgates, doors/van doors, and hatchbacks must remain closed at all times.

During the drive-thru, smoking, alcohol, and pets are prohibited in the Zoo (with the exception of service animals).

Experience

All buildings will be closed. Restrooms will NOT be available.

Food will be available at outdoor kiosks for credit card purchases only.

Most exhibits and animals will not be visible at night. To see all Zoo animals, you may also like to plan a daytime visit.

MUSIC

You can enjoy themed music for your Asian Lantern Festival Drive-Thru experience from our podcast page.

Differences between Drive-Thru and Walk-Thru

Drive-Thru: Guests drive their vehicles through the Zoo to experience lanterns. Guests pay one flat vehicle rate for all attendees in the vehicle. Guests do not exit their vehicles and all buildings and restrooms are closed. Food is available at car-side stops. Regional cultural performers are not present at the drive-thru edition. Visit length is approximately 45 minutes.

Walk-Thru (click for info & tickets): Guests walk through the Zoo to experience lanterns. All guests over the age of 2 must purchase tickets. Most indoor buildings are closed, though guests have access to restrooms and Water’s Edge. Food, drinks, and gifts are available for purchase at kiosks. Regional cultural performers rotate nightly. Visit length is as long as preferred.
