Dive into the world of sea turtles with our new Sea Turtle Academy – a fun, family-friendly conservation program designed to educate and inspire the next generation of ocean champions! 

During this two-part adventure, families will: 

• Explore the life cycle of sea turtles and their role in the marine ecosystem 

• Learn about the challenges sea turtles face due to climate change, pollution, and human activity 

• Receive at-home activities to stay engaged 

• Launch an at-home conservation project to become a voice for sea turtles  

• Follow our Sea Turtle Second Chance rehabilitation program  

Part 1: Sea Turtle 101 & Ocean Champions 

Date: Sunday, December 7, 2025 

Time: 1:00-2:30pm
 

Learn about the seven species of sea turtles, their life cycles, habitats, and the threats they face. Through engaging games your family will discover how small actions can have a big impact on ocean health.

• Interactive sea turtle journey activity 

• Hands-on look at marine debris & its impact 

• Meet a sea turtle expert and hear about our Second Chance turtles 

Part 2: Sea Turtle Second Chance & Conservation Celebration 

Date: Sunday, March 1, 2026 

Time: 1:00-2:30pm  

We can’t wait to hear about your at-home projects and learn how you’ve become a voice for sea turtles.  Afterwards, you’ll learn more about our Second Chance turtles and how your family can share in their journey back to the ocean.

• Family presentations on at-home projects 

• Exclusive updates on current sea turtle rehab cases 

• Learn how you can cheer our turtles on during their journey back to the ocean 

• Receive your Sea Turtle Champion Certificate!
