The Zoo’s hours and prices change according to the time of year. From April 1 to October 31, the Zoo is in its In Season, meaning Operating Hours are longer and there are Early Entry Perks for Members. In the Off Season, from November 1 to March 31, Operating Hours are shorter. Learn more about our operations here.

All year round, each ticket price increases by $2 when purchased at the gates instead of on our website.
Online ticketing includes a flat $4 transaction fee, so all purchases of 2+ general daytime admission tickets are equal to or less than gates prices when purchased online in advance. Purchasing tickets online reduces your wait in lines upon arrival and lets you start enjoying the Zoo sooner.

For guests who want to experience it all, purchasing a One Wild Day Pass online offers the best savings, including a bundled discount on admission and attractions. For guests who just want to visit on a single day, buying a Single Day ticket online in advance is the best deal.
Tickets are available 1-3 months in advance of today’s date and are usually posted for an entire month at the same time. If your future date is not available, check back in a few weeks.
If you are looking to visit in the next few weeks and a specific date is not available, sometimes that is because the date is not available for purchase. Three dates each year are not available when the Zoo is closed: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. On rare occasions, other dates will not be available for purchase. This could be during a non-routine Zoo closure. Check our Modified Operations page for non-routine circumstances.
Yes, in order to save with Single Day Pricing, you must select the specific date you want to visit the Zoo. Your ticket purchase is subject to the Zoo’s ticket policies. Tickets are non-refundable. However, if you would like to check availability on ticket rescheduling up to 48 hours in advance of your visit date, please call 412-665-3640, ext. 0 or email [email protected]. Ticket reschedules, if available, are subject to $5 per ticket change fees.

Single Day pricing only applies to Daytime General Admission and major, month-long multi-events, like the Jack O’Lantern Extravaganza and Wild Illuminations: A Holiday Lantern Experience. Prices for educational programs, events, and Memberships are all standard.
While Single Day Pricing offers the best rates on individual daytime visits at the Zoo, groups larger than 15, schools, members of the military, low-income households, and others may be eligible for group discounts and offers.
In 2024, the Zoo offered plan-ahead pricing, where ticket prices would start low several weeks in advance and raise as we approached any specific day. We listened to our guests, and we are excited to introduce simplified pricing for daytime visits!
