Book: Primates: The Fearless Science of Jane Goodall, Dian Fossey and Birute Galdikas by Jim Ottaviani and Maris Wicks

The graphic novel “Primates: The Fearless Science of Jane Goodall, Dian Fossey and Biruté Galdikas” chronicles the lives and work of the “Trimates”–three female scientists hand-picked by anthropologist Louis Leakey to study the great apes. His aim was to put the prevailing hypotheses of his day to the test; the result has been a redefinition of what it means to be human. In this program, we will discuss the book and meet live animals related to the topic. Light refreshments will be served.
