Green Teens is back for a second year!
Today’s teenagers are growing up in a world where environmental issues are an undeniable reality. Challenges like climate change, deforestation, pollution, and biodiversity loss are calling for innovative solutions. Teens worldwide are stepping up as environmental stewards for good reason – the future belongs to them – and the Zoo is looking for some interested students who are passionate about protecting our planet!
Green Teens, our conservation club for 9th-12th graders, offers a fun and interactive space for teens to learn about animals, conservation, sustainability, and environmental issues. Sessions will focus on exciting community conservation projects like invasive species removal in local parks and advocacy for eco-friendly practices. Together, we will take action to make a real impact in our communities and beyond! Whether you are looking to build leadership skills, make new friends, or contribute to a greener future, Green Teens is the place for you!
The group will meet periodically at the Zoo to discuss conservation issues, hear expert speakers on how the Zoo is working to save species, tour behind the scenes, witness conservation in action on unforgettable field trips, and share our knowledge with guests at the Zoo.
Applications are due by August 1.
