Learn with the ZooExplore all of the ways that you or your group can learn about the natural world.
Want to know more about the animals who live here at the Pittsburgh Zoo? Let us introduce you to them!
Teacher workshops at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium are designed to empower educators with innovative and exciting strategies to teach about animals and the conservation of their fragile habitats. Our workshops utilize a multidisciplinary approach that teachers will find easy to incorporate into their curricula. Zoo tours, bio-facts, live animal visits, and make-and-take art projects will guarantee an enriching learning experience. Please visit our School Groups page and scroll down to the Teacher Workshop tab for current opportunities.

Classes & Programs
Explore a world of wildlife and wonder with classes for all ages, from infants to adults. Become a part of our Wildlife Academy, send your child on a week-long summer adventure at our Zoo Camp, bring the family for a sleepover, join us for an adults-only program, or drop your kids off for an evening for Parents’ Night Out!
Teen programs, for grades 6 – 12, offer exciting ways for kids to get involved and learn about animals, conservation biology, and zoo careers.
Bring your school or homeschooling group to the Zoo for the day, plan an adventure with a group from a college or university, or earn new badges with your Scout troop through a Scout Workshop.
The Zoomobile program offers school groups, adult and senior groups, youth groups, summer camps, and community events the opportunity to meet Zoo animals without leaving their school or location.
