2024 ZOO CAMP

Spend a week this summer exploring some of the most amazing creatures on the planet through fun-filled, educational Zoo Camp programs!  The week will be packed with animal encounters, exclusive tours, exciting classroom lessons and other fun activities.  Program themes are designed to be fun and engaging for each group.

*Membership discount for Zoo Camp excludes Individual and Student Memberships.

WILDLIFE ACADEMY CLASSES

Wildlife Academy classes are back for the fall. Join us for some old favorites and a few never-before-offered programs. There is something for everyone! These classes allow children and adults to explore the wonders of wildlife through unique programs that incorporate live animals, biofacts, and crafts. Please note the age requirements for each class; only those of the appropriate age will be admitted. Only children registered for the class will be permitted. The registration fee includes one child and one adult unless otherwise noted. All classes are held at the Education Complex unless otherwise noted. 

Class fees are only refundable if the Zoo cancels a program. We are happy to accommodate rescheduling if space allows. Memberships must be current at the time of registration to receive the member discount. Save on program fees by becoming a member today! 

STORY TIME

Various Dates – Infants to age 5

Snuggle up and listen to a story, either at the Zoo or anywhere in the world! 

ZOO KIDS 

Various Dates – Ages 4 to 5

Take your child on an adventure to discover nature! Three different classes are available.

Various Dates – Ages 6 to 12

Get ready to learn about a variety of animals in these classes! These classes also include a Zoo tour. 

PARENTS’ NIGHT OUT

Junior Conservationists: Ocean Ecosystems

Various Dates, Grades 6-8

This semester we will explore the different types of ecosystems found in the ocean environment.  

JUNIOR CONSERVATIONISTS: THE AMAZING LIFE OF SQUID

May 4, Grades 6-8

This class will provide the unique opportunity to learn, in-depth, about the amazing life of squid!

ZOO U.: THE OCEAN AS A RESOURCE

Various Dates, Grades 9-12

We will spend our sessions learning about how we use the Ocean as a Resource.  Hands on activities and conservation discussions will lead us through the world of sustainable fisheries and how we can help avoid the overexploitation of the world’s oceans. 

ZOO U.: SCUBA DIVING AND MARINE BIOLOGY

Various Dates, Grades 9-12

In this fascinating class, we will discuss what it takes to become a Scuba Diver and all the different ways that Scuba Diving can support marine biology research and ocean conservation.

ADULT PROGRAMS

ADULT SPRING DAY CAMP

For ages 18+

During your day at camp you’ll tour the Zoo, meet animal ambassadors up close, and go behind the scenes with our experts to learn what it takes to care for animals at the Zoo.

Join our education specialists for a tram tour around the Zoo! You’ll hear a bit about our 125-year history and learn some fun animal facts.
