Free RAD Day Returns to the Zoo Sunday, October 15

Ticket reservations required

Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium will once again offer free daytime admission for RAD Day on Sunday, October 15, 2023, in partnership with the Allegheny Regional Asset District (RAD). Guests must reserve a free timed-entry ticket on pittsburghzoo.org to attend.

Online ticket reservation is easy: starting today, August 23, guests can visit pittsburghzoo.org/rad to select a desired 30-minute daytime window to arrive at the Zoo on October 15. A free ticket reservation will be emailed to the guest. When arriving at the Zoo during the selected time on RAD Day, guests present the reservation tickets to receive free admission and can stay at the Zoo as long as they like, or until the Zoo closes at 4:30 p.m. Last entry will be at 3:30 pm. Visitors without reservations will not be able to visit this day due to capacity limitations.

“We are pleased to continue to collaborate with the Regional Asset District to fulfill our mission of connecting people to wildlife,” said Pittsburgh Zoo President & CEO Dr. Jeremy Goodman. “With what is often our most popular day of the year, we’ve found that timed entry slots help alleviate some traffic and allow our guests to have a better experience.”

Though the quantity of tickets is limited, large crowds are still expected on RAD Day and visitors are encouraged to book their reservations early. Only RAD Day ticketed guests will be admitted on October 15. Once all tickets are reserved, no further daytime admissions will be available.

RAD Day tickets are available now at pittsburghzoo.org/rad.
