Summer Safari: Zoorassic Park is set for Friday, June 5
May 28, 2026
On Friday, June 5, Summer Safari: Zoorassic Park, presented by UPMC Health Plan, turns back the clock … way back to the days of the dinosaurs! Guests are invited to an evening of food, drinks, live music, animal encounters, and lots of prehistoric fun. Don’t have your tickets yet? Hope is not extinct. Here is a list of reasons why you should join us for this shindig in the shadows of giants.
1. Food and Drinks
Come hungry. Come thirsty. Just don’t become the appetizer! Join us for a roaring selection of T. for tantalizing rex bites and fossil-fuel cocktails as local restaurants and vendors bring their best creations to one epic party. Participating restaurants and vendors include 1930 by Atria, Atria, Breadworks Bakery, Butterjoint and Sidecar, Cinderlands, Coughlin’s Law Kitchen & Ale House, Deluca’s Bakery, Deli & Groceria, Industry Public House, Juniper Grill, Lucky Signs Spirits, Palm Palm, Talia, Texas Roadhouse, The Melting Pot, The Sizzle Sauce, and Vallozzi’s.
2. Dinosaurs
Enough said? Only but once in an era do you get the opportunity to attend a party where dinosaurs are on the guest list! The past and present converge at this one incredible moment in time, and a dinosaur lurks around every corner of the Zoo. The dress code is Mesozoic chic, Cretaceous casual, or velociraptor vogue. Those who purchase the VIP Primal Premier pass will have many extra-special opportunities, including the chance to bone up on facts about fossils with a paleontologist from Carnegie Museum of Natural History!
3. Music
The Jurassic Jam awaits! Get ready to dance while the bands shake the ground like a meteor impact. From high-energy rock and funky dance grooves to jungle-inspired beats, the music will keep the park stomping all night long. When the bass kicks in, you won’t be able to tell if those vibrations are from the music or something enormous approaching from the foliage. The evening’s dino-mite line-up of entertainment includes Jukebox Band, No Bad JuJu, and Disturbing the Peace DJs. The VIP tent will feature, appropriately, the Stonethrowers.
4. Animals
This party ups the evolutionary ante with the Zoo’s incredible line-up of modern animals on the guest list! When was the last party you attended where the guests included tigers, turtles, Triceratops, and Tyrannosaurus rex? Visit your favorite Zoo residents, meet our Ambassador Animals, and even bid on artwork by our wildest artists in a silent auction.
5. Support the Zoo
The main reason to attend the Zoo’s featured fundraiser of the year is to ensure that the amazing animals of today do not share the fate of the dinosaurs. Proceeds from Summer Safari fund the Zoo’s daily operations and long-term mission, ensuring that every animal receives the highest standard of care. These funds also support the Zoo’s education initiatives, which inspire thousands of guests of all ages each year to develop a deeper understanding of wildlife and the natural world. A portion of your ticket is considered a tax-deductible donation to the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium.
Don’t you want to be able to say that you attended the wildest party of the year? Be among the Tricera-top tier and get your ticket today at this link. Take a lesson from the dinosaurs … time is running out!
