BHUTANESE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION OF PITTSBURGH

Frequently referred to as BCAP, we are the Bhutanese Community Association of Pittsburgh, established in 2012. We are located in the Brentwood area.  With just four employees, we are able to fulfill our purpose of ensuring a good level of life for all members of our community with the assistance of both our employees and volunteers, including board members. We provide assistance to a diverse immigrant community in navigating the health care system, social services, and other resources. Additionally, we assist families with the naturalization process and provide free citizenship application assistance. BCAP also provides afterschool homework help and youth mentoring. Voter registration and civic engagement are something we have been doing since 2014. Victims of domestic violence or intimate partner abuse make BCAP their first stop for help and we provide culturally appropriate counseling. BCAP organizes events to promote and preserve its ethnic culture and language. Not to mention, we are also enrolling clients in driving lessons.
