Party animals of the human kind are being welcomed back to the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium this spring with the return of two 21+ guest-favorite events: ZooBrew and Summer Safari. Tickets for both events are available to the public on pittsburghzoo.org.

On May 27, craft beer fans are invited to sample ZooBrew: Spring Hops from 6-9:30 p.m. Over 60 brands, including hard ciders and spirits, will be available to enjoy. Guests will also enjoy delicious bites, live music, small animal visits, and a complimentary beer sampling glass. ZooBrew attendees will also be able to participate in Bar-Jutsu Championship Beer Pong, with the winner of the event receiving a special championship ring.

On June 11, guests can dance the night away at Summer Safari: Groovin’ Thru the Zoo. Local musicians and DJs will rock the Zoo with decades of music from the 50’s to today while guests enjoy complimentary dishes and libations from 6:30-11 p.m. Guests are welcome to don their best summer stylish ensembles or dress for their favorite decade during this popular fundraising event.

“The Zoo is extremely excited to bring these events back for the first time since 2019,” said Noah Zaken, the Zoo’s Community Events Coordinator. “With ZooBrew and Summer Safari, along with the Sip & Swirl event we held last month, the Zoo is heading into the summer season in high gear. The support of the Pittsburgh community truly drives our conservation efforts.”

The Zoo is also encouraging local restaurants and businesses to get involved with product donations and marketing recognition. Interested parties can reach out to the Zoo at specialevents@pittsburghzoo.org.

While these events welcome the adults in our region for a memorable night out, the Zoo also continues to offer multiple other family-friendly events throughout the season. Information about all of the Zoo’s events, including community-wide events such as the Opening Season Parade on Memorial Day and Mother’s and Father’s Day Celebrations, can all be found at pittsburghzoo.org.
