The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium is proud to announce that the Zoo has been re-accredited by the Zoological Association of America (ZAA).

Home to over 8,000 animals and 500 species, including 25 threatened or endangered animals, the Pittsburgh Zoo was first accredited by ZAA in 2015.

The ZAA members and accredited facilities make significant contributions to global conservation efforts around the world as well as educational programming designed to help the public connect with wildlife and understand the importance of conservation.
