There’s so much to learn at the Zoo

At this time, masks are required for all program participants ages 2 and up.

WILDLIFE ACADEMY CLASSES

These classes allow children and adults to explore the wonders of wildlife through unique programs that incorporate live animals, biofacts, and crafts. Please note the age requirements for each class; only those of the appropriate age will be admitted. Only children registered for the class will be permitted. The registration fee includes one child and one adult unless otherwise noted (The Choice Is Ours, Animal Art Class, and What’s For Lunch are children only). Zoo admission is also included. All classes are held at the Education Complex unless otherwise noted. 

STORY TIME AT THE ZOO – AGE INFANT TO 5 

Snuggle up and listen to a story, either at the Zoo or anywhere in the world! 

ZOO TOTS – ages 2 & 3

Introduce your child to a world of wildlife through this class that is designed just for toddlers!

ZOO KIDS – ages 4 & 5

Take your child on an adventure discovering nature!

ZOO KIDS – ages 6 & 7

Get ready to learn about local wildlife in the Wildlife Explorers class!

THE CHOICE IS OURS – AGES 8 & 9

Get ready for conservation in action! Learn all about conservation topics and how we can do our part to help save the world’s endangered animals.

WHAT’S FOR LUNCH? – AGES 6-12

Ever wonder about what our animals eat? Learn all about animal diets and watch Zoo animals receive a tasty treat during this walking tour!

 

 

TEEN PROGRAMS

ZOO U. | elephants in the spotlight

September 24 & October 1

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room…literally!  In this two-session class, our focus will be on African Elephants.

Various Dates

Students will get to learn all about the animals we have here at the Zoo from the experts! Choose a class or multiple classes and have educational discussions with Keepers, Aquarists, and the Animal Care team.
