Our International Conservation Center Education Specialists will guide your students through one of our interactive classroom programs, featuring interactive activities, biofact exploration, and outdoor fun and games (weather permitting).  Classroom programs can accommodate up to 25 students.

I Want to be a Zookeeper! (45 minutes)

How do you bathe an elephant? Can you trim an elephant’s nails? The International Conservation Center is home to incredible animals, cared for by expert zookeepers. Students will learn how Zookeepers care for the ICC herd and the conservation biologists who protect elephants in their natural habitat.

Animals in Jeopardy (45 minutes)

In a lively game of endangered species jeopardy, this class examines why animals are endangered and what zoos and aquariums are doing to help in the conservation of these incredible species.

Animal Observations (45 minutes)

(Available September – December, April – June; weather dependent) Take the scientific method out of the textbook and put it into practice in this hands-on exploration of animal behavior. Discover why we study ethology (animal behavior), and participate in a behavioral study of one of our animals.
