Zoo Closed to the Public, Effective Monday, March 16
(Pittsburgh) (March 15, 2020)—In response to the COVID-19 situation in Pennsylvania, the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium will be temporarily closed to the public effective Monday, March 16 until further notice.
During this time, all scheduled events, programs, and classes will be cancelled.
Our dedicated caretakers and veterinarians will continue to provide the highest standards of professional care and welfare for our animals on site.
We will continue to monitor any new developments and re-evaluate our steps and actions, following the guidance and directives of the City of Pittsburgh’s Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control.
